Effective Monday, March 16, all Eastern Counties Regional Library locations, including the Open Library in Guysborough, will be closed for three weeks as a precaution to help limit the spread of COVID-19. As part of this closure, Borrow By Mail service is also suspended.

We are concerned about public health and are trying to do our part to encourage social distancing and help reduce the spread of infection.

The Library will monitor recommendations from the Government of Nova Scotia and Public Health Canada to determine when it is safe to reopen.

We remind patrons of our online resources including downloadable audiobooks and e-books available through Overdrive. You can access the digital collection without having to leave home. Visit novascotia.overdrive.com or go to ecrl.library.ns.ca and click “Download Books”. Sign in with your library card and PIN to browse the collection and borrow titles for reading or listening on your smartphone, tablet, computer, or e-reader. For assistance with online resources, call our headquarters at 1-855-787-7323.
