Opened on August 22, 1969 the Canso library is one of three original branches which, along with three bookmobiles, were the mainstay of our service during the early years of Eastern Counties Regional Library.

It was awesome morning here in the Canso Branch with Storyteller Anne Glover...Anne kept the children laughing and attentive with her stories and strings.. Great!!
Upcoming News at the Canso Library
There will be a Thrive Festival at the Canso Library on the following dates. The launch of the week-end festivities start Friday June 24 at 6:30 with Artist from Vancouver, hamilton and Canso. During there will be guest singer reowned Clara Jordan.
On June 25 at 1:30 a writers workshop is being held here at the library. This is open that is interested is learning some tips on writing. The cost is $10.00.
The next book club session will be on July 11 at 6:00. The book of the month is "Randon Passage" by Bernice Morgan. Everyone is welcomed to come out to this event.
