October 20, 2020 - Service Update for St. Peter's Library

The St. Peter’s Library hours of operation are Wednesday – Saturday 10am-1pm & 2pm-6pm. Library staff are available to answer questions by phone or email during these hours, and will offer contactless Curbside Pickup of library materials. At this time, Eastern Counties Regional Library (ECRL) cannot offer in-person Library by Appointment service at the St. Peter’s location.

“So far ECRL has been unsuccessful in obtaining the necessary support from the Municipality of the County of Richmond for the cleaning and disinfection required to offer controlled public access at the St. Peter’s Library,” said CEO Laura Emery. “Residents who want to help should let their Municipal Councillor know that in-person library service is important to them and express their support for Library cleaning and disinfection.”

Thanks to the generous donation of cleaning services by La Picasse, library members that need in-person library services such as computer access are able to arrange a library appointment at the Petit de Grat Library on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Curbside Pickup service at this location remains available Wednesday to Saturday. Please call 902-226-3534 or email for further information.

Additionally, all library members can continue to borrow books and other library items using the Borrow by Mail option. Place holds using your online account, or by calling your nearest library. ECRL also has an extensive collection of digital content that can be accessed for free anytime, from anywhere with an internet connection. With downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, music, television and film, English and French encyclopedias, video tutorials, and language learning courses, there is something for everyone on our Digital Content page.

Community members who do not yet have a free library card are encouraged to register online using our Registration Form or by calling our toll-free phone number 1-855-787-7323. They will be provided with an account number and PIN, which they can use to enjoy everything the library offers.

Local residents can stay up to date on services offered at the St. Peter's Library by calling (902) 535-2465, by visiting ECRL’s website often, or by following ECRL on social media:
